Michael Rosenberger is the executive director of Dallas Independent School District’s Food and Child Nutrition Services. Since joining Dallas Independent School District, Rosenberger has led the district to a number of awards and recognitions. In 2017 Food and Child Nutrition Services was selected for the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Best of the Bunch award for dedication to local farms, was named #2 in Children at Risk’s list of top large school food programs in Texas for best practices, and received Silver-Level recognition for Excellence in Summer Meals by the Dallas Summer and Supper Council. Mr. Rosenberger came from nearby Irving Independent School District, where he served as the director of Food & Nutrition Services (F&NS). During his 16 years with Irving ISD, the F&NS program was recognized as a leading school food service organization both in the state and nationwide. Mr. Rosenberger is known by his peers for his creative solutions, even being selected by Food Management Magazine as the K-12 Innovator of the Year in 2014.
