Vanessa Zajfen is the Director of Institutional Impact at the Center for Good Food Purchasing. From supply chain management to the contracting and procurement process and beyond Zajfen designs strategy and identifies opportunities for participants enhanced performance within the Good Food Purchasing Program. Zajfen worked at the United States Department Agriculture, Food & Nutrition Service as a Farm to School Regional Lead. Zajfen also worked for the Food Service Department at San Diego Unified School District. Zajfen founded Beyond Organic Produce Company specializing in sourcing and selling locally grown foods. Zajfen holds a MS in Sustainable Agriculture from Iowa State University.
